Basement Cleanouts in Hapeville

We carry out years of boxes, old furniture, dead appliances and damp junk from your basement, up the stairs and onto our truck. You get a clear, swept floor. A few weeks later we call to see how the space is holding up.

What a basement cleanout covers

A basement fills up slowly. A box here, a spare couch there, the old freezer nobody wanted to haul up the stairs. Then one day you can't reach the water heater. That's when a cleanout makes sense.

Our crew does all the lifting. We bring the stuff up narrow stairs or out a walkout door, load it, and take it away. Items in decent shape go to donation when we can. Metal goes to recycling. The rest goes to the proper disposal site.

Clearing the room is only half of it. Once it's empty, we walk it with you and point out anything we noticed, like a damp corner or a musty smell behind the shelves. Then we check back after the job to see how it's going.

What we handle in your basement

Heavy items up the stairs

Sofas, sectionals, treadmills, old desks and dressers. We use straps and dollies and pad the stair rails and door frames as we go.

Appliances and old equipment

Chest freezers, old washers, dehumidifiers and window units. If you have more of these, our appliance removal page covers how we handle them.

Boxes, bins and loose clutter

Holiday decor, old paperwork, kids' toys, paint-stained tarps. Tell us what stays and we'll set it aside before anything goes on the truck.

Water-damaged junk

Soggy cardboard, moldy carpet pieces and swollen particleboard shelving. We bag the wet stuff so it doesn't drip through your home on the way out.

Sweep-up when we're done

Once it's empty, we sweep the floor. You get a clean slab you can actually look at.

Signs it's time to clear the basement

The utilities are blocked
Boxes in front of the furnace, water heater or electrical panel are a problem. A technician needs space to work, and so do you if something starts leaking.
There's a musty smell
Cardboard and fabric trap moisture. During humid Georgia summers, a crowded basement can start smelling quickly. Clearing it lets air circulate again.
Water got in
Once there's been water, wet items should leave before mold sets in. Pulling them out fast also helps you find where the water came from.
A sale or move is ahead
Buyers and inspectors want a clear look at the walls and floor. An empty basement shows better and makes moving day easier.
You have plans for the room
A home gym, an office, a playroom. None of it can happen until the junk is out.

A few weeks later we call. We ask how the space is doing and give simple tips, like keeping storage on shelves off the floor and running a dehumidifier in summer.

What sets the price

Your price comes from what we find on the on-site visit, not a guess over the phone. We give you an upfront number before any lifting starts. No hidden fees get added at the end.

How much is down there
Price follows volume. The more of the truck your junk fills, the more it costs.
Stairs and access
A walkout door is quicker than a steep, narrow staircase. Tight turns and low ceilings add time.
Heavy or special items
Old freezers, pianos and gym equipment take more hands. Some appliances also carry disposal fees.
Wet or moldy material
Water-soaked items are heavier and need bagging. That adds time and weight.

Questions about clearing a basement

Do I need to bring things upstairs first?
No. Leave it all where it is and we'll carry it up. Just show us what you want to keep and we'll move it aside.
Do you take things that were soaked in a leak?
We do. Wet boxes, carpet and soft goods are bagged so they don't drip through the house. If water is still coming in, getting that fixed first helps the space stay dry after we leave.
What if a wall or rail gets hit on the way up?
We pad railings, corners and door frames before moving anything, so that rarely happens. We're licensed and insured too, which matters when heavy loads are going up stairs inside your house. We've been at this since 2021.
How soon can you get here?
We offer same-day and next-day service when the schedule allows. Give us a call and we'll find a time that works for you.
Do we talk again after the job?
Yes. A few weeks out we call to see how the basement is holding up, and we share easy ways to keep it dry and open, like using plastic bins in place of cardboard.
How do I know your crew does good work?
Our customers have left over 1,200 Google reviews. Reading a handful will show you how we treat a house.
